Available Club Roles
We are looking for people to help in the following areas. We hope to fill these roles immediately so we can prepare for the upcoming 2025/26 season. If you are interested in any of these roles please email Kevin Flynn at kevinf@seattle.rugby
Player Recruitment
Help attract new talent to Seattle Rugby Club through community outreach, event coordination, and establishing recruitment pipelines. Ideas include but not limited to:
- Organize and staff recruitment booths at local sporting events and community gatherings
- Develop relationships with high school and college rugby programs to create talent pipelines
Sponsorship
Focused on securing financial support from businesses and organizations to fund club operations, equipment, and travel expenses. Ideas include but not limited to:
- Identify and approach potential corporate sponsors with tailored partnership proposals
- Maintain relationships with existing sponsors through regular communication and appreciation efforts
Fundraising
Develops and implements various initiatives to raise funds for the club beyond sponsorships, involving both club members and the broader community. Ideas include but not limited to:
- Plan and execute annual fundraising events such as tournaments, galas, or auctions
- Coordinate recurring smaller fundraisers like merchandise sales or community service partnerships
Email Communications
Maintains consistent communication with club members, supporters, and the local rugby community through various written channels.
- Produce and distribute regular club newsletters highlighting team accomplishments, upcoming events, and important announcements [1-2x per month]
- Manage the club's email correspondence system to ensure timely responses and information distribution [Mailchimp Account]
- Update news article and email comms to the website [Webflow website with support]
Social Media
Handles the club's online presence across various platforms to build community engagement, increase visibility, and share club news and accomplishments.
- Create and schedule engaging content across all club social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) [2-4x per week]
- Interact with followers, respond to inquiries, and build online community engagement through consistent interaction
About the Seattle Rugby Club
Established in 1966, Seattle Rugby Club (formerly known as Seattle OPSB and Seattle Saracens) is an adult rugby union club focused on the fifteens code of the global game. Seattle Rugby proudly promotes the sport of rugby in North America both on and off the pitch through community-focused efforts as well as performing on game day. The club provides opportunities for men, women, and young people to engage with rugby at all levels.
