Seattle Rugby Club Attends 2025 Collegiate Rugby Awards at the Washington Athletic Club

This past week, current and former players and coaches from Seattle Rugby Club gathered at the Washington Athletic Club to attend the Collegiate Rugby Awards—a night dedicated to celebrating the rising stars of our sport.
One of the highlights of the evening was hearing from SRC Women's Director of Rugby, Liz Kirk, who took the stage as a guest speaker. Her powerful and inspiring speech reminded us all of the strength and potential within the rugby community.
We were especially proud to witness two remarkable athletes honored for their achievements:
🏆 Freda Tafuna, recipient of the MA Sorensen Award
🏆 Oscar Treacy, recipient of the Rudy Scholz Award
Both awards represent the pinnacle of collegiate rugby excellence, and we’re thrilled to see their hard work recognized on such a grand stage. Congratulations to Freda and Oscar—we can’t wait to see where your rugby journeys take you next!
Events like this remind us of the vibrant and supportive rugby family we’re all part of. Here's to many more celebrations to come!
