Help Lead the Pack: Seattle Rugby Club is Seeking New Board Members

The Seattle Rugby Club is more than just a team; we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to fostering community and a lifelong passion for the sport. To fuel our next chapter of growth, we are looking for two dedicated leaders to join our Board of Directors: a Director at Large with a focus on Fundraising to spearhead philanthropic partnerships and a Director at Large with a focus on Membership to deepen our connection with our valued alumni through the Clubhouse program.
If you are a strategic thinker with a heart for the Seattle Rugby community and a desire to help our club thrive both on and off the pitch, we want to hear from you. Join us in building a sustainable future for rugby in the Pacific Northwest—apply today to help lead the pack!
Director at Large with a focus on Fundraising
This position is a strategic leadership role responsible for securing the financial resources necessary to sustain Seattle Rugby Club’s operations and community initiatives. This role focuses on "philanthropic dollars"—targeting individuals and corporations who want to invest in the club’s mission of youth development, inclusivity, and community health. This role is heavily supported by the Club President.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy: Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan that aligns with the club's non-profit status and 501(c)(3) goals.
Corporate Partners: Identify and approach local companies to build value-based partnerships rather than traditional "logo-only" sponsorships. Focus on companies looking to support community work, health, and local sports.
Grant Oversight: Research and apply for local and national grants related to amateur sports, youth outreach, and community wellness.
Impact Reporting: Work with the Director of Rugby and Youth Coordinators to create "impact stories" that show donors exactly where their money goes (e.g., equipment for youth clinics, travel scholarships, etc.).
Donor Stewardship: Maintain regular communication with high-level donors and corporate partners to ensure long-term retention and appreciation.

Director at Large with a focus on Clubhose Membership
This position of Clubhouse Membership is the primary link between the club and its most loyal supporters: our alumni and "Clubhouse" members. This role is focused on building a sustainable, recurring revenue stream through a "giving back" model, ensuring that the generations who came before help pave the way for the players of today.
Key Responsibilities:
Clubhouse Program Management: Oversee the growth and administration of the "Clubhouse" membership tier, focusing on monthly and annual recurring donations.
Alumni Engagement: Lead outreach efforts to reconnect with former players from Seattle RFC, OPSB, and the Saracens eras.
Membership Benefits: Define and manage the perks of being a member (e.g., exclusive newsletters, "Old Boys/Girls" events, clubhouse access, or club merchandise).
Retention & Growth: Track membership data to identify trends, reduce churn, and launch "member-get-a-member" campaigns within the alumni network.
Communication: Coordinate with the Marketing Director to send targeted communications specifically for non-playing members, keeping them informed of club successes and financial needs.
