Matt Brennan Heads to New Zealand
Seattle Saracens would like to wish Matt Brennan the best of luck in his travels and playing career as he heads off to New Zealand.
Matt is going to play for Burnside Rugby Club in Christchurch. Burnside is a top club and home club for former All Blacks Brad Thorn, Wyatt Crockett, Leon McDonald, Caleb Ralph and current Crusaders head coach, Scott Robertson.
Matt, age 23, joined Seattle Saracens for the 2018-2019 season, playing five games for the Premier and two games for Premier Reserve squad. He was contracted with the Seattle Seawolves Rugby as part of the extended squad this season and played in the Seawolves' exhibition match vs. Crimson Tide in Victoria.
We're looking forward to seeing Matt on his return to play for us next season!
Matt's rugby background: Played for Seattle Vikings, Washington Loggers and USA High School All-Americans as a U19. Played for Arizona State University and Edinburgh University 1st XV as a collegiate player and was a USA Collegiate All-American.
