Women's Premier V Castaway Wanderers

In perhaps the most exciting match of the season, the Saracens women came up a hair short in Victoria on Saturday 7th April losing by two points, 32 - 34 against Castaway.

The teams traded tries in the first half. With the score tied at 10, Castaway had a burst of attacking flair, scoring three tries in the final five minutes of the half. The break saw the Saracens trailing 31-10. However, the Saracens were undaunted, and spirits were high in the halftime huddle.

The Sarries came out blazing in the 2nd period, scoring 22 unanswered points. However, Castaway was able to gain possession in their attacking half later in the game, and were awarded a penalty 25m out, in front of the posts. The kick was true and Castaway regained their lead.

The Saracens had one lady opportunity, but were held out at the final whistle. It was an amazing effort from the Saracens.
