Women Win on the Road

February 19, 2018

Saturday 17th Feb saw both Saracens men and women squads travelling to North Vancouver to take on Capilano RFC.  The Woen's match saw Ashley Kmiecik awarded the captainship for the day and she led the team to a strong start.

The Saracens raced out to an early lead with long range tries from Outside Center Jennine Duncan (2) and newcomer Natalie Fuller.  Carly MacKinnon's conversions (2) were complimented by a penalty kick as the Saracens held a 22-10 lead at the half.

The 2nd half proved a defensive slug-fest for the Saracens as Capilano controlled play for long stretches but were held out of the try-zone until the final minute, resulting in a final score of 22-15.

Next week, the Saracens women travel to Victoria to take on Castaway Wanderers RFC.
