Seattle Saracens Rugby player Anthony Chaffee just returned from volunteering in rural Bangladesh where he was working with the charity, Hope Foundation for Bangladesh, an organization providing healthcare to the under served women and children in rural Bangladesh.

A surgeon and volunteer doctor, Anthony is pictured after treating a child with an abscess who desperately needed the right medication and medical attention.

Much of the work Anthony was involved with focused on operating on cleft lip and palate repairs and he was working with other doctors to get 28 surgeries accomplished in 20 hours.

Bangladesh has approx. 1 million refugees and these doctors volunteer to help where they can.

Anthony started his rugby career at Redmond High School RFC, represented high school all Americans on tour to NZ and then played with Seattle Rugby club after leaving high school. He also played a season in England and Ireland and is now back in Seattle.

We are proud of you Anthony!
