Playing for Seattle Rugby Club

Seattle Rugby, the premier amateur rugby club in the US Pacific North West, welcomes all players from novice to elite and offers a safe, open, and friendly environment in which to play rugby.

We currently run two senior men’s and women’s sides each week and cater for all levels of rugby, from those wanting to play socially to those looking to develop their game further and compete at the very highest international level. We regularly have men and women players selected to represent their countries at the very top level.

In 2017 we launched a Development XV. The new development program and the team is directed towards young players and will act as a transition from youth rugby to senior rugby. The program will not only develop players to play for the Seattle Rugby club but also for other Pacific Northwest-based clubs that the Seattle Saracens is partnered with.

Whether you are an experienced player or a talented, motivated, and ambitious young player, and feel you have what it takes to become a member of our 1st XV of the future, we would like to hear from you!

We are committed to quality coaching at all levels and have a team of dedicated and experienced coaches, who will help you progress your game in a player-focused performance environment, targeting individual player development. All our teams are supported by coaches, a manager, and fully qualified medical staff.

Club training for Women takes place at Magnuson Park on a Tuesday and Thursday during the season and Men at Starfire Sports on Tuesday and Magnuson Park Thursday – changed and ready to go at 7 pm.

All new players are welcome!

                                                                                                    Overseas Players

If you are considering moving clubs or are new to Seattle, whatever your level, we have the rugby for you. Seattle is the largest city in both the state of Washington and the Pacific Northwest region of North America and one of the fastest-growing major cities in the United States.

It is no surprise that for over 50 years Seattle Rugby Club has attracted many overseas players to the club, including players from the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Samoa, and Fiji; although the traffic is not all one way with numerous US club players have gone on to play outside of the US too with professional clubs.

To help our overseas players settle into the local area, the club uses our network of local contacts and businesses to assist in finding employment and accommodation. Although we can't make any guarantees, we are happy to provide this support to any potential 1st XV/Elite player moving to the Seattle area.

Interested overseas players are requested to ensure that they have the appropriate visas, work permits, or other immigration documentation required. For more information contact the club.
