Photo Credit: Jill Pruett The Seattle Saracens Women earned their first victory against Castaway Wanderers in recent memory on Saturday 20th Jan, 47-19. After surviving an initial assault from the Wanderers in the first quarter, the Saracens outside backs found space repeatedly as the Saracens took control of the match. The Seattle forwards did the work in both set piece and open-play to provide quality ball, and the combination of Marilyn Prosser, Valerie Bank, and Mackenzie Garrett, at 9, 10, and 12, respectively, were able to open the Castaway defense for the outside backs. Seattle Saracens Play Houston Sabercats In Front Of Record 5,200 Crowd

Photo Credit: Judy Teasdale Photography January 6th 2018 saw the Seattle Saracens travelling to Houston to take on the new Major League Rugby's (MLR), Houston Sabercats in a much anticipated match at Constellation Field, Sugar Land, Texas. As this was as amateur vs professional exhibition game, Houston were starting as the favorites even though this was their 1st match in front of their home crowd. Without some of the Sarries key players featuring on the game-day roster, a focused Saracens squad knew what they had to do to upset the host team on their home pitch.
